2017 West Coast Art & Frame Expo

We are excited to announce that Kim and I (Meagan) will be in attendance of the 2017 West Coast Art & Frame Expo! The Conference and Trade Show runs from the 22nd to the 25th, and offers a wide variterty of hands on classes, lectures, as well as the oppurinity to meet with suppliers. 

This will be my first year attending the WCAF Expo, I can not tell you how excited I am to be attending and taking crouses. 

Infact I am most excited to be taking classes in Mat Cutting. Starting on Sunday with Mat Cutting: Back to Basics, a fundamental class teaching hands-on tips and tricks to cutting mats. Covering the basics of measuring (something I am learning. Framing is measured imperial and throughout school I was taught in metric, so when it comes time to measure an 8th or 16th of an inch I get so confused). Followed by a class on Monday Tips and Tricks for Creative Mat Cutting which goes beyond the paper mats and talks about how to cut thicker and fabric mats. I am hoping that these class will instill the confidence in myself to take over some of the mat finishing in the business.

In addition to Mat Cutting my time table is full of inspiring classes, and touring the trade show, learing about new rescoures to improve my framing repertoire.

I look forward to be posting about our experinces at WCAF Expo with you in the coming weeks.

Unfortunately with both Kim and I away and the store will be closed January 19 through to the 26th. We will be checking emails regularly.
